Miitomo App – a whole new way to know your friends likes, dislikes and a lot more!
Nintendo’s Miitomo is a social networking application that is designed to spark one-of-a-kind conversations between you and your friends. To start with, the app gets you to create a Mii character – you can choose from a wide library of facial features to make your Mii look just like you – or you can create one by using a photo taken by your smartphone’s camera. After creating your Mii and giving it a nickname, you can customize how it speaks and choose its personality.
In Miitomo, your Mii and your friends’ Mii characters act as social go-betweens. Initially, your Mii character will ask you several “getting to know you” questions, like “what did you do last weekend?”, “If you could have one wish granted, what would it be?”, etc., and record your answers. Your friends’ Mii characters will do the same thing. Then, your Mii and their Mii characters will share answers with each other, so you and your friends learn fun things about each other that you’d never find out without Miitomo! Friends can respond to each other with hearts, picture messages, or text messages. (Note: You can add friends to Miitomo either by inviting them, or linking the app to your Facebook or Twitter Account. Your friend should accept your request to be a part of your Miitomo’s circle.) Ultimately it will only be as fun as the number of friends you have using it too.
There are also other in-app features, like a shop where you can buy more outfits and accessories for your Mii character, and a mini game called Miitomo Drop where you can win exclusive prizes. Add to that, the app also lets you create Miifotos. You can insert Miis (your own and those of your friends) into your photographs, adding in other stickers, stamps, fonts, and backgrounds. Miifotos can be shared on social media, such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
