Microsoft Kaizala App Review
September 25, 2017
Microsoft India recently announced the launch of Microsoft Kaizala, a mobile app designed for large group communications and work management within Indian organizations. The app helps organizations connect with large numbers of people inside and outside their organization, easily coordinate tasks across the value chain, and gain actionable insights. Furthermore, the app is enterprise ready. Microsoft Kaizala Pro, an enterprise version, allows organizations to have full administrative control of their groups.
How it works: Getting started with Microsoft Kaizala is super easy. One can sign up using his/her mobile number and then can create work groups by sending an invitation link to teammates or co-workers (within or outside the organization). Once a group is created, group members can assign tasks, create to-do lists for each other, conduct a quick poll or survey, request location and perform other such actions using ‘Kaizala Actions’ feature while chatting with each other in a group.
Microsoft Kaizala Pro’s features: In addition to the above-mentioned features, enterprise-ready version Microsoft Kaizala Pro offers additional features such as user and group management (remove users from groups and wipe group data from the device), system integration and automation using Microsoft Kaizala APIs, advanced reporting and analytics, the ability to publish custom actions, create public groups, and organizational profile and directory. Both, Microsoft Kaizala and Microsoft Kaizala Pro can be integrated with Microsoft Office 365.
Availability & Pricing: Microsoft Kaizala is available in India as a free download on iOS and Android phones. And, Microsoft Kaizala Pro is available to purchase standalone at a list price of INR 130 per user per month. Current Office 365 customers can contact their Microsoft representative for additional information.
At the launch event in New Delhi, Rajiv Kumar, Corporate Vice President, Office Product Group, Microsoft told reporters, “Using Microsoft Kaizala, organizations can connect with their employees and the extended value chain. The product offers a simple and familiar chat interface and goes beyond to make everyone more productive using Surveys, Polls, Jobs, Meetings and other actions, right in your chats. As we launch Microsoft Kaizala in India, we hope to help connect the unconnected parts of organizations – whether they are in large and small enterprises or in the Government. Microsoft Kaizala’s vision is to empower every organization and community to achieve more through purposeful chat”.
“Microsoft Kaizala has been optimized for 2G networks to enable connectivity in remote locations and offers features with offline support”, added Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India.
