GST Rate Finder By Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC)
July 20, 2017
The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) built this app to end confusion about the multiple GST tax rate slabs, making it easier for both business owners and consumers to find out the GST rates for all the goods and services in seconds. Best Part? The app works offline once installed.
The app is super easy to navigate, and comes with two sections that read ‘Tax Rates: Goods’ and ‘Tax Rates: Services’. Under each section, you can see the GST tax rate slabs as applicable and a full list of all the goods or services that come under the respective tax slab.
The way this app works is quite simple. Simply launch the app and type in the name of the commodity or service in the text search bar to find out its GST rate. The app will display all the options that carry the name of the good/service you’ve searched for, and then you can click on any of the options to find out the details such as GST Rate, description of goods or services and HSN / SAC code.
