This app is an effort by the Government of India to provide citizens a platform for connecting with it and contributing towards good governance.
The MyGov app includes various pre-defined groups to which you can selectively subscribe to. The objective of each group is to bring positive changes to the relevant area with people’s participation. Each group has its own tasks, discussions, polls, blogs, and talks. The ‘Tasks’ tab, as the name indicates, invites you to volunteer yourself for various tasks (both online and on-ground tasks). For instance: share ideas and concepts for products for the specially-abled. Plus, you can participate in discussions where the Government seeks your suggestion on various initiatives that could shape India, and cast your vote in online polls conducted by the Government to know your opinion and feedback.
Furthermore, there is a Creative Corner section within the app where you can creatively engage with various Government departments through discussions, polls, blogs, talks, and so on. Through this Creative Corner, Government departments invite entries for logo designing, punchline suggestions, etc. from time to time. The app even invites suggestions for PM’s Mann Ki Baat sessions. And of course, the app includes the ‘MyGov Updates’ feed to keep you posted about the MyGov initiatives.
Overall, you must get this app, if you are a responsible citizen and want to contribute towards the development of your country.
