King.com, the company behind the famous Candy Crush Saga game on mobile, has now released a new game for Android and iOS users. Shuffle Cats is an online multiplayer card game where you can challenge players from around the world to a game of Regal Rummy.
Shuffle Cats is a mobile version of the traditional card game Regal Rummy, and it represents an attempt by King to expand beyond its Candy Crush Saga match-3 games to a new genre and new style of gameplay.
Set over the rooftops of 1920s London, the game’s stars are street cats who vie to win their way to the best card clubs in town and progress along Lucky Lane. Lucky Lane is where players can compete in elite Card Clubs and win big Gem Prizes, XP rewards and even Gold Bars.
Just like Rummy, you’ve got to meld pairs or runs to win the game, and earn points to level up. Each player is rewarded with 1000 gems at first, and to go up each level, a player has to give up a stack of his gem treasure. Whichever player wins, takes the gems along with them, while the other loses his stack. Just like all games, as you level up, the game keeps getting harder and more competitive.
Players will also get a chance to unlock Lucky Charms (such as Freeze Card, Zap Card, etc.) and buy cool stuff from the in-game shop as they rank up, which they can use to boost their chances against an opponent while playing a crucial game where the stakes are high. Players can even interact with each other using the fun chat packs. There are more elements in the game that unlocks one-by-one as you level up.
