Lifesum: Your Calorie Tracking App
January 15, 2017
Lose weight. Bulk up. Eat better. Whatever your health goal, Lifesum app is exactly what you need to make it happen. This is your calorie tracking app.
Getting ideal weight isn’t easy, especially if you’ve a busy schedule. It’s hard to keep a track of your meals, and thus calories consumed in a day. Enter LifeSum. Whether your goal is to lose weight, gain muscle strength (through exercising) or develop healthy eating habits – Lifesum app is all you need to achieve your health goal.
How it works: As soon as you install the app, it will ask you to choose among three health plans, i.e. “Be Healthier”, “Lose Weight”, or “Gain Weight”. It will also ask you about your birthday, current weight, height, and ideal weight (if losing or gaining weight is your health goal). Let’s say, your health goal is to lose weight, then the app will decide your daily calorie intake and tell you how long it will take to reach the ideal weight.
Once you know your health goal, the app provides you with a neat and clean interface wherein you can track what you’ve eaten for your breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner, along with your water intake, and exercises you’ve performed during the day (including walking and sport activities). Based on your inputs, the app will quickly display calories consumed and calories burned by you in a day. It will also recommend a percentage of carbs, proteins and fats you should be consuming every day to reach your ideal weight.
Interestingly, the app includes the Health Test where it asks you questions, like how often do you eat green leafy vegetables, fruits, berries, dairy products, and so on in order to calculate your Life Score. It uses your Life Score to recommend nutritious food recipes, diet plans, healthy eating and exercising tips to help you stay focused towards your goal. The app also includes various specialized diet plans based on your health goal, such as high protein diet, low-carb diet, fat-burner diet, etc. that you can unlock via in-app purchases.
Overall, this app is highly recommended if you want to keep a track of your eating habits (calories consumed) in order to maintain or achieve the ideal weight. The app’s user interface is highly intuitive and engaging, which makes sure that you won’t mind coming back to the app to track your meals and physical activities throughout the day. You can also subscribe to the premium version via in-app purchases to make the most of the Lifesum app and sync it with fitness apps and wearables such as Moves, Runkeeper, Fitbit, and Endomondo to name a few.
